Marina Vilamoura Continues to Fly the 5 Gold Anchor Flag

The Yacht Harbour Association is delighted to announce that Marina Vilamoura has again been awarded 5 Gold Anchors.

Marina Vilamoura is a luxury boating destination with a vibrant atmosphere. This is a busy, bustling marina offering 825 berths up to 60m. This is Portugal’s biggest marina and one that offers an excellent service to sailors and vessels. Their professional and well trained staff offer 24/7 cover at the marina.

The marina basin is surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, shops and the 5-star Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel so there is no shortage of entertainment. There is an active sailing club that offers sailing courses and the marina organises national and international regattas and sailing-related social events.

This marina is constantly developing and looking for further improvement in their never ending quest for perfection.

Isolete Correia, Marina Manager says “It was with great pleasure that the Vilamoura Marina has seen the renewal of its Five Gold Anchors issued by The Yacht Harbour Association.

This award is based on a strict inspection evaluation, lead by an external expert in the nautical area, who analysed the quality of management of the Marina and the quality patterns of the facilities and services available.

To join the Five Anchor award, Vilamoura Marina is proudly one of the first marinas with quality and environmental certification by ISO 9001 and ISO 14 001, together with the European Blue Flag for Marinas and recently has been elected the best Marina 2011 in Portugal.”
